And my wings aren't pure white, like I thought people were supposed to get when they died. But I guess I can't really complain too much... I mean, this is better than no afterlife at all, right?

I guess I didn't expect heaven to have weird magic notebook things, either, come to think of it. But then, I've never met someone who could tell me about heaven first-hand! It's not like getting married, after all, most people don't live to tell you about it later. Hahaha...

[And then he stops the recording, looking around himself at the forest out here. Gosh, it's so lush... way more lively than the forests he'd been in! And he can see all kinds of birds in the trees, and small animals skittering about...

It was weird, that Heaven would be so much more alive than Earth.

Slowly, he drifts around the forest in his cotton pants, floating with his bony toes sometimes grazing the undergrowth and mulchy soil, absorbing the life around him and... and wondering about his friends, that he felt like he'd just seen a few minutes ago, just before he'd woken up here.

His eyes scan the area, hoping for a glimpse of his sister, any sign that she's returned from her ordeal in the Malnosso's custody. It might be futile, but staying holed up in his house and waiting is no better.

Seeing movement from out of the corner of his eye, he whips around--

[In fact, he usually sleeps outside because of how much he and villages don't get along.]

[She puts her hands on her hips, puffing out her chest. If only she had her cape and stuff on for this occasion!]

I see... [Emil is totally taking notes about this.] Well, I've gotta say, the wings are pretty much the nicest science experiment I've ever had done on me! So maybe they aren't so bad, y'know? Heeheehee.

[Still sounding terrifically optimistic, Emil informs,] Well, if everything was going well, they should've already rescued her by now! Last I remember, we were already in the villain base, so... I'm sure Nier's back with his daughter by now!
