Number 1; voice/action
[A gentle boy's voice comes in suddenly, mid-word.]
--t'll turn on? Yeah, I think that worked... Man, this is pretty cool! Is this heaven or something? It's not quite what I imagined... it's a lot greener, for one thing! And my wings aren't pure white, like I thought people were supposed to get when they died. But I guess I can't really complain too much... I mean, this is better than no afterlife at all, right?
I guess I didn't expect heaven to have weird magic notebook things, either, come to think of it. But then, I've never met someone who could tell me about heaven first-hand! It's not like getting married, after all, most people don't live to tell you about it later. Hahaha...
Gosh, I guess I don't even know if anyone's listening to this. Um, is anyone? ... If you are, hi!
[And then he stops the recording, looking around himself at the forest out here. Gosh, it's so lush... way more lively than the forests he'd been in! And he can see all kinds of birds in the trees, and small animals skittering about...
It was weird, that Heaven would be so much more alive than Earth.
Slowly, he drifts around the forest in his cotton pants, floating with his bony toes sometimes grazing the undergrowth and mulchy soil, absorbing the life around him and... and wondering about his friends, that he felt like he'd just seen a few minutes ago, just before he'd woken up here.
They were probably already arguing, knowing them!]

[action] not late at all...
Seeing movement from out of the corner of his eye, he whips around--
To see a floating skeleton wandering through the underbrush nearby. Emil, you have about two seconds to prove you're not a threat, before he starts casting a spell.]
[action] MITHOS BB IT'S OKAY I'M LATE TOO
Um, hello?
[action] ;A;
...What are you? [He gives no consideration to your inferior feelings, Emil. Sorry.]
[action]
Um... well, my name is Emil! [He dips a polite little bow to the other boy, and says, politely,] It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr...?
[action]
I have no interest in introductions.
[action]
[... Awkward.]
Um, well-- it's really nice to meet you, anyways? I hope I'm not bothering you...
[He draws away, a little, ready to leave if the other boy makes it clear he's not welcome.]
[action]
[action] oh my god look at how fast this tag got written! less than 24 hours!!!
[He waves one skeletal hand, clearly not understanding it very well himself. He's just kind of... gone with it, no matter how much he hates being like this.]
... Anyway, it's better for me to be like this, because now I don't turn people to stone by accident! Though sometimes I still petrify them. [He giggles, awkwardly, and elaborates,] You know, in fear...
[Emil only hurts people with his terrible sense of humor, Mithos.]
[action] and then i take more than a week crying
You must live a lonely existence. [The words are not sympathetic; they're clinical, probing.]
it's ok ilu anyway <333
Well, it's-- it's not so bad. I have some really good friends, who don't care about... Anyway! It's hard to be lonely when you're siting with your best friend and she's telling you stories, you know? [His cheer sounds a little forced, but it's clear that Mithos is faced with an optimist.]
i am not worthyyyyy
Your optimism is pathetic. [Pathetic for being strong, in a way? Or pathetic just because he hates it.]
yes you are shut up <3
[Emil stares for a moment, then-- then laughs awkwardly, looking a little away from the other boy.]
Wow, you're pretty straightforward, aren't you? [He twiddles his thumbs, and wishes for his staff, to have something to hold.] I mean-- I guess it kind of is, really, but... it's easier than thinking about how bad things are.
abubububu <3
How can you be so naive? The world has left you behind - fate has been unkind and unjust - and yet you still cling to simple-minded lies to try to convince there's anything good about the world.
